I have a 2012 Hyundai Avante MD.
Something strange happened to me during the diagnostic.
There were no software problems in Hyundai (Korea) V10.30.
However, when software was updated to V10.34 or higher, CAN BUS ERROR occurred. And the VDC warning lamp and the ISG warning lamp turned on.
And then there was a bigger problem. U0287, C1616 Fault Code did not clear and continued to occur.
I decided to visit the Hyundai Official Repair Shop the next day because it was strange.
Then, I removed the Thinkdiag from OBD2, turned off the car, and turned it on again.
Surprisingly, the VDC warning lamp, the ISG warning lamp turned off.
Still, I felt uncomfortable and visited the Hyundai Official Repair Shop for inspection.
However, CAN BUS Wiring Harness, ECM, ABS, TCM all had no problems.
And I found this in the What's new item of Hyundai (Korea) V10.34 software.
Compared with the previous version:
1. The diagnostic software structure has been optimized
So I proceeded with the test.
1. V10.34 software caused U0287, C1616 Fault Code.
2. Downgraded to V10.30 software and cleared Fault Code.
3. VDC warning lamp, ISG warning lamp turned off and fault code cleared.
4. V10.35 software caused U0287, C1616 Fault Code.
5. Downgraded to V10.30 software and cleared Fault Code.
6. VDC warning lamp, ISG warning lamp turned off and fault code cleared.
7. V10.40 software caused U0287, C1616 Fault Code.
8. Downgraded to V10.30 software and cleared Fault Code.
9. VDC warning lamp, ISG warning lamp turned off and fault code cleared.
So I came to a conclusion. Software structure optimization applied from V10.34 is incorrect.
I hope the Diagnostic team will modify the software structure optimization.
